Chapter 3

*Taemin's POV*

"Taemin, you are going to work later?" Jonghyun hyung asked. He is Key's elder brother.

"Yeah." I replied, walking lazily down the street.

"Hyung, Omma asked us to go home earlier." Key said, looking at his phone.

"Then see you tomorrow Taemin." I bid goodbye to them and walked home.

"Hyung." I stepped out of the lift and saw my elder brother wiping the walls, his name is Lee Jinki.

"Ah Taemin you are back." He said.

"Loan sharks are here again to splash red paint?" I calmly asked, this wasn't something new to me.

"Yeah, they are here again this morning." I throw my bag on the sofa and rolled up my sleeves.

"Don't you need work today?" I took a towel and wet it.

"I took half day off to clean this wall. You?"

"I'm going after this." I squat down and wipe the wall, hyung smiled.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"We used to be masters of a mansion. Now we are wiping the walls, isn't that so funny?"

Hyung...

Yes, we used to be rich. But the bitch that we used to called 'Omma' abandoned us and was now married with another guy. Appa cannot accept the sudden decision of Omma leaving him, his company collapsed. We instantly got bankrupted. Now all he do was gambling and drinking all day long and get into debts easily.

"I'm going to get changed." The moment I stepped into my room, a hand came landing on my face giving me a slap.

"You bastard, aren't you working?! WHY ISN'T THERE ANY MONEY IN YOUR ROOM?!" Appa shouted at me.

"Money? All the money in this house has already been gambled away by you. DO YOU THINK MONEY FALL FROM SKY FOR ME TO PICK??"

"YOU SON OF A BITCH, HOW DARE YOU TALK TO ME IN THIS WAY!" He gave me another slap.

"Appa!" Hyung rushed in and held Appa back, preventing him from hitting me any further.

"Hyung, I'm going work." I rubbed my red cheek and grab my bag.

*Miyoung's POV*

~Flashback~

"Taemin, you are from rich family?" I asked him.

"Ah, my Appa owns a company." He smiled.

"So good... You still have a Appa..." I smiled weakly.

"Don't worry, next time we get married, my Appa will be your Appa." He slot a ring into my finger, ring made of leaves.

~End of Flashback~

I held the ring on my palm, I'm still keeping it despite 10 years. Just that green leaves turned into brown.

"Oppa, I'm going out for a while." I wore my shoe and walked towards the playground where Taemin and I met.

I stared at the ring, this wasn't any ordinary ring. No one can make a ring this beautiful using only leaves. I tried before, but mine turns out to be... Trash?

"Taemin?" I spotted him from faraway, but as I called out to him, he stood up and walked away.

"YAH!" I chased after him, but stopped once I realised I stepped on something.
